My name is Laura Orellana, and I have worked at the Institute for 12 years. During those years I have had the opportunity to grow as a person, as a Christian, and, of course, as a professional. In the academic area, I have taught Language and Grammar in all levels. I have also taught Phonetics. It has been a blessing from God to have found in this place, the ability to teach different University groups about the History and Culture in Latin America. This has helped me to use all my knowledge in Anthropology, which was my major in college. I am happy and thankful because at ILE I have served God and the students. I have been able to support them in their missionary preparation, but above all, I have been able to glorify God and see daily His glory in my life.

ILE is amazing because the staff are like the missionaries to the missionaries, which is such a beautiful picture of the gospel. In ILE, the teachers are constantly encouraging not only the students but also the other teachers. The goal is to grow spiritually, and as a result the students learn better Spanish. I think a verse that describes it well is Matthew 6:33, “Seek ye first the kingdom of God and His righteousness, and all these things will be added unto you.”
