HOUSING

If you desire, and so indicate on your application, we can assist singles or married couples, without children or pets, in obtaining housing with a Costa Rican family for the time you are here.  Families or those individuals who bring pets should plan on renting a house or apartment for your stay.  

Housing with a family includes room and board (3 meals daily) plus washing and ironing.  We anticipate the cost will be approximately $300 per month, per person to be paid directly to the host family upon arrival, on a month-by-month basis.

The Institute does not have campus housing, nor do we have off campus housing property.  We have, however, worked for many years with neighborhood families who open their homes to our students.  Each home and family environment is unique, but we have screened them all and are satisfied they will provide excellent living conditions, and comply with all of the Institutes policies for the housing of students.  Many, in fact, go well beyond simply providing a nice place to stay, and make the students a part of their families.
